HTN including patients w/ left ventricular hypertrophy; diabetic nephropathy in type 2 DM.
Dosage/Direction for Use
HTN Initial & maintenance dose: 50 mg once daily. HTN w/ left ventricular hypertrophy, type 2 DM w/ proteinuria 50 mg once daily, then dose may be increased to 100 mg once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Excessive vomiting or diarrhea. Hepatic or renal disease. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, fatigue, lightheadedness, rash, hives, taste alteration, vomiting or increased skin sensitivity to sun. Increased K levels in blood. Discontinue in case of anaphylactic reactions eg, swelling of the face lips, throat &/or tongue.
